Irene Ryan Deputy Coordinator

Job Type: Volunteer
The Irene Ryan Deputy Coordinator works in support of and collaboratively with the Irene Ryan Coordinator to organize the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Auditions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the Region Chair and Ryans Coordinator in recruiting guest artists and selectors.
- Help to schedule student participants during each round of the audition.
- Ensure that all registered participants have properly obtained all necessary permissions to perform selections.
- Attend the annual Regional Festival typically held in the first or second week of February
- Assist the Coordinator with facilitation of audition rounds.
- Communicate with students, faculty, and guest artists prior to and during the Festival
- Attend (virtually or in-person, as needed) planning meetings and regional committee meetings
- Collaborate with the Regional Committee to ensure just and equitable practices in programming, recruiting of guest artists and response to and celebration of student work
- Deputy will serve alongside of the Coordinator to learn the position
Desired Qualifications:
- Candidates should have at least a part time affiliation with a theatre program of an institution of higher learning.
- We are seeking applicants that represent a diverse array of lived experiences, including, but not limited to race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, gender identity, educational background and more.
Term of Service: Typically, Coordinators serve a term of 3 years as Deputy Coordinator and then assume a term of 3 years as Coordinator.

SDC Deputy Coordinator

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society Deputy Coordinator works in support of and collaboratively with the NPP Coordinator to organize the 10 Minute Play festival.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work closely with representatives of the National Playwriting Program and the Dramaturgy Program.
- Communicate with student applicants pre-festival
- Organize auditions and rehearsals for the 10 Minute Plays during the festival
- Work with local staff and/or students regarding technical needs for the 10-Minute Play Festival
- Attend Production Respondent training and respond to at least one student production per semester
- Attend the annual Regional Festival typically held in the first or second week of February
- Assist the Coordinator with facilitation of Festival Events
- Communicate with students, faculty, and guest artists prior to and during the Festival
- Attend (virtually or in-person, as needed) planning meetings and regional committee meetings
- Collaborate with the Regional Committee to ensure just and equitable practices in programming, recruiting of guest artists and response to and celebration of student work

Georgia Respondent Coordinator

The festival depends on the respondent coordinators of each state to secure a respondent for each registered production in their state.
The number of registrations for productions vary from year to year. The response coordinator is responsible for soliciting volunteer respondents for productions by communicating with a list of potential respondents provided by the Region. Once a volunteer has been secured, the contact information is added in AirTable. At this point, the school and the respondent communicate logistics independently.
Position Responsibilities:
- Making sure the director of each production, contact person for each school and the chair of KCACTF are all connected via our automated Air Table system.
- Troubleshooting any challenges or communication issues that come up between the respondent and director of the production
- Potentially replacing a respondent or finding a replacement respondent, if the assigned one needs to cancel.
The Region pays for the respondent coordinator’s festival registration to attend the festival in February.
Term of Service: Typically, a term of at least 3 years, dependent on the wishes of the respondent coordinator..
