What is Next Steps?

KCACTF Region 4 now offers all students an opportunity to find their next step through auditions, interviews, and connections made at the festival.

Looking for a four year BA or BFA program? Interested in auditioning for a conservatory? Want to make a connection with a professional program? Find your next step at the festival!

Process and Important Dates:

The initial audition process will be in person, as the auditionee will prepare material to be reviewed by the four-year programs and professional training programs.  Each auditionee will have 2 minutes. These auditions will take place at the Festival on Friday. Please check the schedule for details.

For performers, bring a song cut and/or monologue. For Tech students (transfer auditions only),  use the 2 minutes to show your portfolio. Those who cannot make the TRANSFER AUDITIONS in person may send in their materials virtually. The same rules apply for the use of the time as listed above.

After the TRANSFER AUDITIONS – each participating institution will select which students they’d like to call back. At the festival, each participating 4-year school will have an information booth about their programs, and will schedule a time to meet with you there if interested in a callback. Virtual callbacks will be arranged no later than the week AFTER the festival is completed.
