To Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Participants
Actorsâ Equity Association is proud to celebrate its centennial, 2012 â 2013. As a way to underscore the impact of live theater and its contribution to American culture, we are creating an in-depth reference and coffee table book about the organization and theater history.
The book is designed to appeal to anyone who appreciates live theater and will provide a peek behind the curtain and into the working life of the career Actor and Stage Manager.
A key editorial feature is Landmark Performances in the history of Broadway and regional theater, which will run throughout the book. This will collectively underscore the notion that actors and performances are at the heart of Equity.
We ask for your assistance in selecting ten Landmark Performances that, in your estimation, were powerful enough to change the craft of acting, and have become legendary for both professionals and audiences alike.
We will compile a master list of performances based on the combined feedback of educatorâs and other theater professionals to include in the book. However, your entire list will be featured on a special page of the AEA 100 web site.
